Police swarm to Crewe railway bridge following concerns for child

Police officers swarmed to a railway bridge in Crewe following reports for the welfare of a child, with a busy road closed for over half an hour.
On Tuesday 10 March, emergency services were alerted to an incident on Mill Street.
At 3.40pm, Cheshire Police and North West Ambulance Service arrived at the scene, discovering a youth on a bridge.
After engaging with the child for around 40 minutes, they were brought to safety.
Mill Street, which was closed between Oak Street Roundabout and Brook Street, reopened around 4.20pm.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 3.40pm on Tuesday 11 March, police were called to reports of concerns for the welfare of a child on a bridge on Mill Street, Crewe.
"Officers attended and engaged with the child who was taken to a place of safety.
"The road was closed while officers dealt with the incident, it reopened at around 4.20pm."
