A new tattoo and photography store is planning to open on the edge of Crewe town centre, located inside a former craft beer bar.

On Wednesday 31 January, Megan Soper, of Ice and Fire Studios Ltd, applied for a change of use to accommodate her business on High Street.

The new tattoo studio will be opening inside one half of the former Craft Beer Oasis bar, which has been split into two separate units.

Ice and Fire Studios will be opening in the unit under the to let sign, with a new African bar and restaurant opening in the unit on the left (Ryan Parker).

Craft Beer Oasis permanently closed in June 2023, previously occupied by Beerdock Tap 40.

Ice and Fire Studios is planning to open at 14 High Street, with a new African bar and restaurant set to open at 12 High Street.

The business is proposing to install stud walls, flip the current staircase and install a new toilet on the ground floor.

On the first floor, it plans to install new stud walls and fire doors, as well as the staircase being flipped.

The last date for submitting comments on Ice and Fire Studios' application is Wednesday 21 February (Cheshire East Planning).

According to Companies House, Ice and Fire Studios has been operating from a residential address in Crewe since December 2023.

The last date for submitting comments on the High Street application is Wednesday 21 February, with a target decision date of Wednesday 27 March.
