A new bar lounge serving food and hosting live music is planning to open until 1am, located in a former craft beer bar on the edge of Crewe town centre.

On Sunday 22 October, Mr Opeyemi Opaleye, on behalf of Oden Lounge Limited, submitted a premises license application to open on 12 High Street, formerly operated by Craft Beer Oasis.

The Nantwich-based company plans to open between 9am and 1am, offering the sale and supply of alcohol beverages and food and live music.

Oden Lounge plans to operate inside 12 High Street, with 14 High Street listed separately for retail/ office space (Ryan Parker).

It also seeks to offer the licensable activities of recorded music and film exhibition during these hours.

Craft Beer Oasis closed its doors for the final time this June, with a "number of factors" contributing to its demise.

The venue, operated by Alan Hinde, who previously operated The Borough Arms, Earle Street, took over the former BeerDock Tap 40 unit in April 2021.

Oden Lounge now plans to give the unit a go, but it will only be operated from half of the building as 14 High Street has been listed separately.

The premises license application reads: "I Opeyemi Opaleye, have applied on 22 October to Cheshire East Council in respect of the premises known as Oden Lounge, 12-14 High Street, for a variation of premises license to trade from only number 12.

"It will provide the following licensable activities within the approved times of 9am and 1am: Live music, Recorded music, film exhibition and sale of supply of alcohol beverages and food."

Oden Lounge plans to open between 9am and 1am, offering the sale and supply of alcohol beverages and food and live music (Ryan Parker).

Representations to Oden Lounge's application shall be made in writing to Cheshire East Council Licensing Section on or before Sunday 19 November.

You can also submit your representation by emailing: [email protected].
