Residents have been evacuated to a hotel, after an Asda delivery van collided into a block of flats in a nearby Cheshire town.
Firefighters were called to the incident at Longcross Court, Lewin Street, Middlewich, at 4:20pm on Thursday 1 February.
A Cheshire Fire Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters isolated the gas and electric supply to all flats and put in place a full cordon around the building.
"A gas detector was used to check the area. Firefighters made sure all occupiers of the flats were accounted for.
"The crew retrieved personal belongings from the flats with the supervision of a structural engineer."
The properties are owned by Regenda Homes, who confirmed all residents were given overnight accommodation and a cash allowance.
A Regenda Homes spokesperson said: "The structural integrity of the building was assessed on Thursday evening by the Local Authority and the whole block has been evacuated while we await the outcomes of the report.
"Our staff responded immediately to ensure everyone had accommodation overnight and a cash allowance to cover meals, clothing and transport.
"Our team will continue to be available through the weekend to ensure residents are supported and kept up to date on the situation.
"We are working with Asda to organise the safe removal of the van as soon as possible and we are encouraging their proactive involvement in helping us support the people affected."
An Asda spokesperson told Nub News: "We are aware of an incident involving one of our vehicles in Middlewich.
"We are in contact with the housing association affected by the accident to understand how we can best support their residents.
"We would like to apologise for any distress this may have caused."
Nub News has contacted Cheshire Police for comment.
