New opticians to open in Crewe town centre this autumn

A new opticians is set to open in Crewe town centre this autumn, with the unit currently being worked on.

Crewe Optical will open at 66 Market Street this October, formerly occupied by William Hill.

The building has been empty since March 2024, when betting shop chain pulled the plug on one of its two town centre stores.

Workers have been busy installing new flooring, painting and installing cabinets within the unit since August.

Crewe Optical will join vision experts, Specsavers, Boots Opticians and Vision Express in Crewe town centre (Ryan Parker).

The majority of work has now been done, with the store layout yet to be configured.

This new opticians comes after Scrivens closed its Victoria Street branch in November 2024.
