New nursery opens on grounds of primary school in Crewe
A Crewe primary school has officially launched a new nursery for children aged three to five, taking less than half a year to complete.
Wistaston Church Lane Academy, Church Lane, opened its newly built nursery, Cygnets, this March.
The new building was opened by David Wootton CBE, who chairs The Learning Partnership, the academy trust to which the school is part of.
The new state of the art facilities offers nursery care for 32 children aged between three and five-years-old as they start to prepare for the move to primary school.
A rapid building schedule saw the nursery built in five months.
The development boasts two classrooms an extensive outdoor area and additional learning space for the young children.
Headteacher at the school, Cathy Elsley, told Nub News: "This is a fantastic new facility for the young children in our local community.
"It provides ample opportunities for structured and instructed play, both indoors and outdoors, fostering curiosity, imagination and experimentation under the guidance of our amazing Cygnets team."
