A person is recovering after being treated for smoke inhalation in hospital, following a serious blaze at a bungalow in Crewe.
Two fire engines from Crewe were called to reports of a blaze on Cavendish Road, at 1:30pm on Sunday 24 March.
On arrival, emergency services treated the casualty who was in the property when the fire broke out in the conservatory.
Crews put out the flames using two hose reels with the support of a covering jet.
A Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels with the support of a covering jet to extinguish the fire.
"A large fan was then used to clear smoke.
"The occupier of the premises was removed from the property and treated for smoke inhalation before being handed into the care of paramedics.
"Crews remained on scene to expose the structure of the conservatory to damp down and ensure the fire was fully extinguished."
An initial investigation from Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service suggests the blaze was started accidentally, through hot materials disposed of in a wheelie bin next to the property.
