A new coffee shop is set to open in Crewe town centre this weekend, with plans for wellness and beauty treatments to follow.

The Lounge, High Street, will open next door to Ice & Fire Studios at 9am on Saturday 26 September.

The new venue is being launched by Meg Luan, owner of Ice & Fire Studios, following the closure of Oden Lounge.

Its grand opening will also see walk-in tattoos, a flash sale and piercing offers taking place in the main studio.

Meg told Nub News: "I had been waiting for the building next to me to come available, but whilst I was waiting we heard Oden Lounge was closing.

"We thought that would be an even better space to extend Ice & Fire into.

"It made sense for us to open a small coffee shop for our clients to use and the public, as the local coffee shop Big Mugs was closing.

"We are also looking to use the extra space below the cafe for wellness and beauty treatments such as massage, nails and aesthetics. We will be looking to offer these spaces out from the end of October.

"As the building received a grant from the council when it was Oden Lounge, I have had to invest my own money to bring it up to standard, but investment in Crewe is something I'm happy to do.

"Our town has so much potential and it is getting better, especially towards our end of the town."

The new shop will serve a special Ice & Fire blend of freshly ground coffee, alongside freshly baked cakes, iced drinks and milkshakes.

It will initially open from Wednesday to Saturday, from 8.30am to 4pm.

The additional space below the café is expected to offer massage, nail, aesthetics and other wellness and beauty treatments, with spaces set to become available to practitioners from the end of October.

Ice & Fire Studios has also grown, with Meg now the sole owner of the business. The studio currently has six tattoo artists and a piercer.
