A new breakfast and lunch business offering food and drink at "competitive" prices has opened its doors in Crewe town centre, with more and more empty units becoming filled.

Grab & Go Bakery, Market Street, officially launched on Monday 1 December, operated by Alan Moran from Crewe.

Trading five days a week, Grab & Go Bakery fills the unit previously earmarked for bubble tea shop, Bobobo, which sadly never opened.

Grab & Go Bakery serves the likes of breakfast rolls pies, burgers, cakes and hot and cold drinks, with dine-in and takeout available.

Mr Moran, who is the director of Grab & Go Bakery, told Nub News: "I am excited to open this new food and drink venue in Crewe town centre, serving fresh food at competitive prices.

"I carry out building maintenance and know the landlord of this premises. This is the first time I have worked on something like this and look forward to providing a quality eatery in the town.

"We are employing a friendly team, made up of local staff, all trained in providing a quick and quality service to the people of Crewe.

"Here, customers can enjoy breakfasts rolls, sandwich rolls, pies, burgers, sausage rolls, hot dogs, soups and cakes.

"We saw a lot of local businesses open at 9am so wanted to be open for 8am in the centre of town for people wanting breakfasts.

"At a later stage, we will also be offering jacket potatoes and salads, with an improved offering of cakes. We have had a positive start and can't wait to welcome new customers."

Grab & Go Bakery is open 8am to 3.30pm (Monday to Friday), with plans to open on Saturdays at a later date (Photo: Ryan Parker).

The launch of Grab & Go Bakery comes after Crewe Optical and Platform both opened in the town centre on November 29, with several new businesses set to open in the coming weeks and months.

Grab & Go Bakery is open 8am to 3.30pm (Monday to Friday), with plans to open on Saturdays at a later date.
