Crewe man, 51, arrested on suspicion of drink driving following crash with child cyclist

A Crewe man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving, following a serious crash in Alsager on Tuesday 2 December.
At around 5.15pm, Cheshire Police were called to an incident on Lawton Road, near to Alsager Pharmacy.
Officers attended and found there had been a collision between a black pedal cycle and a red Toyota Yaris.

The cyclist, a 10-year-old boy, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Alder Hey Hospital by North West Air Ambulance.
His injuries are not believed to be life-changing.
The driver of the car, a 51-year-old man from Crewe, was uninjured and arrested at the scene on suspicion of drink driving.
He has since been release under investigation pending further enquiries.
Sergeant Pete Mcloughlin, of the Roads and Crime Unit at Cheshire Police said: "Enquiries in relation to this incident are ongoing and we're keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision.

"The same goes for anyone who may have any CCTV or dashcam footage which could aid our Investigation."
