Man arrested after person 'punched in the head' on Crewe Street

A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault following a late night attack, where a male was "punched in the head" on a Crewe Street.

On Sunday 5 November, Cheshire Police received reports of an incident on Edleston Road.

At around 2am, response officers arrived at the scene, finding a man with cuts and bruising to the head, after being punched.

Police searched the area and soon arrested the suspected offender, arresting a man on suspicion of assault.

The man remains in police custody as the investigation continues.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "At roughly 2am on Sunday 5 November, a report was made of an assault on Edleston Road, where a person was punched in the head, causing cuts and bruising. 

Response officers attended the location, and after an area search the offender was identified and arrested on suspicion of assault.

A man was arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in police custody (Cheshire Police).

"He remains in custody as the investigation continues."
