Man, 38, charged following serious dog attack in Crewe

Cheshire Police detectives investigating a serious dog attack in Crewe, where a woman and man were injured, have now charged a man in relation to the incident.

Shaun Nolan was arrested at around 12.20pm on Friday 28 February following the incident on Davenport Avenue, where a woman, man and Cheshire Police officers were attacked.

The 38-year-old has since been since charged with owning a dangerous and out of control dog.

Nolan is set to appear at Chester Magistrates' Court later today (Monday 3 March).

The dog, not believed to be an XL Bully, was shot dead by police on Davenport Avenue (Google).

The woman attacked sustained serious lacerations and injuries to her right arm and thigh and was taken to hospital for further treatment.

Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. 

The man sustained minor injuries to his arms and hands.

The dog, not believed to be an XL Bully, was shot dead by police on Davenport Avenue.

Cheshire Police told Nub News: "While we are still to 100 per cent confirm on the breed, it is not believed to be an XL Bully."
