People assaulted and property damaged in Crewe golf club incident

Cheshire Police are appealing for witnesses and video footage, after members of the public were assaulted and property was damaged by an off-road biker at a Crewe golf club.

On Sunday 2 March, officers were alerted to an incident at Queens Park Golf Club, off Queens Park Drive.

Around 4.20pm, a green black and off-road bike, with no number plate, entered the nine-hole venue, tearing up the grass.

Rode by an unknown male, with a black helmet, he proceeded to assault members of the public at Queens Park Golf Club (Cheshire Police).

Officers are now urging anyone who was in the area between 4pm and 4.30pm, who witnessed the incident, to get in touch.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "At around 4.20pm on Sunday 2 March, we responded to reports of an off-road bike causing damage and assaulting members of the public at Queens Park Golf Club in Crewe.

"The off-roader had left the area before police arrival on a green off-road bike with no number plate.

"We are urging anyone who was in the area between 4pm and 4.30pm and thinks they may have witnessed the incident to get in touch.

"The same goes for anyone with any mobile phone or CCTV footage from around the time of the incident which may aid our investigation.

Cheshire Police are now urging anyone who was in the area between 4pm and 4.30pm on Sunday 2 March, who witnessed the incident, to get in touch (Cheshire Police).

"Anyone with information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 or via the website quoting IML-2038776.

"Alternatively, information can be given anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
