Over 20 bags of waste were collected, which contained drink bottles, cans, crisp packets and takeaway containers, as well as a child's scooter found hiding in the woods.

James Pratt told Nub News: "It was brilliant to see so many residents coming out to give up their time, working together to help make their community a better and cleaner place to live.

"it was a tremendous effort. I am so impressed with the efforts put in by the local community this morning and how it is encouraging that so many people want to help."

This redevelopment came from a £100k investment, funded by Crewe Town Council.

Cllr Pratt urged local residents to keep the upgraded facilities and the wider park clean and tidy for everyone to enjoy.
