Man taken to hospital with 'potentially serious injuries' following collision on M6 in Crewe

A man has been taken to hospital with 'potentially serious injuries' following a collision on the M6 in Crewe yesterday.

Traffic was stopped in both directions between junctions 15 and 16 yesterday afternoon.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a patient who had fallen from their motorbike on the southbound carriage of the M6, between junctions 16 and 15, at 2.43pm.

"Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham attended the scene.

"On arrival we discovered one patient, a man, who was treated for potentially serious injuries before being taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital by land ambulance."
