A leading Crewe-based employer has put technology at the heart of its business by appointing a new CIO - with contemporary hub set to be completed this year.

Radius, the global mobility and connectivity leader based in Crewe, UK, has appointed Glenn Fishwick to the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO).

The new role marks the company's continued focus to be at the forefront of innovation as technology and trends progress.

Radius' new technolgy hub, located close to its HQ, is purposely designed to incorporate everything the business needs for its technology-based future (Ryan Parker).

In addition to the senior appointment, Radius opens its new Crewe technology hub this Autumn.

The hub is purposely designed to incorporate everything the business needs for its technology-based future - including a software development and testing facility.

Glenn Fishwick moves into this role from his previous position as CIO for Cox Automotive, where he sat on the European operating board for several years. 

After starting his career as a software developer, he held various senior roles across automotive, telecoms, financial services and technology working with both the private and public sector.

Radius COO, Lee Everett, said: "We're delighted to welcome Glenn to the team as CIO, taking responsibility for the IT strategy and development across Radius group.

Radius opens its new Crewe technology hub this Autumn - based on Crewe Business Park (Ryan Parker).

"He brings with him a wealth of experience and will be a driving force behind us developing new products and solutions as well as maximising the potential of the facilities in the new technology hub we're building at our new site in Crewe." 

Mr Fishwick was delighted with his new position at Radius - believing he was joining the Crewe company at "an incredibly exciting time."
