A global business services company is investing further into Crewe - work has now commenced in constructing a new hub next to its town headquarters.
On Friday (May 27), the first earth was moved on the site of a new building for the Crewe company housing its Global Telematics Hub.
Radius Payment Solutions is a global business services company founded in the UK in 1990. It now operates in 18 countries across five continents.
The Crewe employer now provides business services ranging from fuel cards and telephony solutions to business insurance, telematics and vehicle tracking, electric vehicle charge points and charge cards.
Radius already has a 700-strong workforce in Crewe alone, divided between its three buildings in Emperor Way and Herald Drive, off Macon Way.
Approximately 300 staff will be based at the new offices when complete.
Just a few hundred metres from its Crewe Campus, the new building has been purposely designed to incorporate everything the telematics business will need as it looks forward to the years ahead.
Radius founder and CEO, Bill Holmes said: "Radius chooses Crewe for its new Global Telematics Hub."
In the new hub, there will be a testing, warehousing and dispatch facility on the ground floor with space for software development, sales, marketing, operations and finance teams on the two floors above.
The building will incorporate all the 'latest technology' to make it as efficient as possible.
It will include 25 EV chargers for the ever growing demand from employees.
This will include a barista coffee bar, pizzeria, sky bar and an outdoor yoga area that will add to the extensive facilities Radius already we already has at its Crewe Campus and other Crewe offices.
Radius aims to make it itself one of the nicest places to work in the North.
With a planned build time of 65 weeks, Radius says it is 'looking forward' to moving to its new home next year.
Radius previously had its HQ in Sandbach, Cheshire, before moving it to Crewe in 2018.
The construction of the 66,000ft campus started in June 2017, strategically constructed close to Crewe's railway station.
