Four teenagers to appear at Crewe court following serious assault in Cheshire

Four people charged with the serious assault of a 51-year-old man in Cheshire - are set to appear at Crewe court next month.

Four teenagers were arrested for the assault on Market Street, Congleton, on February 12, 2022.

The assault on a Saturday evening was near Congleton bus station and followed an argument between 'a number of young people' and the man.

Following this attack, a 48-hour dispersal order was enforced in the area (Congleton Police).

The four teenagers have since been charged with the following offences:

  • Liam Doolan, 18, of St Johns Road, Biddulph – Charged with section 18 assault and section 47 assault
  • 16-year-old boy from Congleton – Charged with section 18 assault
  • 15-year-old girl from Congleton – Charged with section 47 assault
  • 14-year-old boy from Congleton – Charged with section 47 assault

The teenagers are all on bail and are set to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Monday 6 February.
