Fire crews tackle Crewe house blaze after 'items' left on kitchen hob

Fire crews were deployed to tackle a serious house blaze in Crewe, believed to have been caused by items left on a kitchen hob.

On Sunday 14 April, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to an incident on Lime Tree Avenue.

At 3:19am, two fire engines from Crewe arrived at the scene, discovering a blaze in the kitchen of a property.

The Lime Tree Avenue fire is believed to have been caused by items being left on a kitchen hob (Google).

Firefighters put out the flames using a hose reel jet.

Thankfully, no one was hurt in the incident, with the fire confirmed to be accidental.

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters in breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to put out a fire in the kitchen of a house.

"The fire is believed to have been caused by items on the hob.

Thankfully, no one was hurt in the incident, with the fire confirmed to be accidental (Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service).

"Please follow our kitchen safety advice."
