Mixed-tenure housebuilder, Vistry Group, has agreed a deal with private rental sector platform Thriving Investments for 58 family homes at Leighton West in Crewe.

The homes will form part of a 791-home scheme off Minshull New Road and Flowers Lane. Vistry and Bloor Homes secured approval from Cheshire East Council in 2024.

The site, near Leighton Hospital, is a strategic allocation in the local plan, with the wider development contributing £5.6m towards community facilities.

Plans include a pub, nursery, and land for a new primary school.

Managing director of Vistry Manchester and Cheshire East, Matthew Parkes, said: "This deal is exactly in line with our partner delivery strategy, as it will provide high quality rental housing on this large, multi-tenure site.

"We're committed to creating mixed-tenure developments and partnerships with organisations like Thriving Investments, helping to deliver more accessible housing options for families and individuals."

Vistry will deliver 408 homes overall. This includes 208 for Plus Dane. Of those, 123 will be for social rent and 85 for affordable home ownership.
