A Crewe town centre cafe and farm shop has confirmed it will reopen in a "refreshed space" this September, after being closed since July.

The Cobbles Cafe and Deli Farm Shop, Victoria Street, temporarily closed on Saturday 20 July, with plans to reopen "slightly differently."

Operated by Jonty Ellwood and Sarah Wickstead, The Cobbles has been trading at the former Yorkshire Bank since March 2022, relocating from the old Crewe Market sheds.

After closing, local residents were concerned another trader had departed from Crewe town centre.

Nub News confirmed this not to be the case in July, with a reopening date now set for Thursday 12 September.

The Cobbles Cafe and Deli Farm Shop said: "Dear valued customers, we are absolutely thrilled to announce The Cobbles will be flinging open its doors once again on Thursday 12 September.

"We simply cannot wait to welcome you back to our cosy haven of culinary delights.

"Get ready to be swept off your feet as you step into our refreshed space.

"We have been busy bees, reimagining our cafe layout to create an even more enchanting atmosphere for your dining pleasure.

"But that is not all. Prepare your taste buds for an exhilarating journey through our revamped menu.

"We have lovingly crafted several exciting new dishes that we're certain will tantalise your palates.

"Don't fret though, your cherished favourites are still very much a part of our culinary repertoire."

Serving full English breakfasts, sandwiches, pies, homemade cakes and hot and cold drinks, The Cobbles is a well-established Crewe business.
