A building, along with trees and bushes have been partially damaged, following an arson attack incident in Crewe.

On Tuesday 27 August, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to Alban Street, off Broad Street.

At 6.12am, one fire engine from Crewe arrived at the scene, disovering trees and bushes "well alight" at the side of a building.

Due to the suspicious nature of the Alban Street blaze, Cheshire Police were called to the scene (Ryan Parker).

Crewe firefighters put out the flames with a rose reel jet, with the building suffering damage to the guttering.

it is believed the fire was an act of arson. An investigation is underway.

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Trees and bushes were well alight at the side of a building.

"Believed to have been started deliberately, firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

Crewe firefighters put out the flames with a rose reel jet, with the building suffering damage to the guttering (Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service).

"A thermal imaging camera was then used to check for any hotspots.

"The nearby building suffered slight damage to guttering. Police were informed."
