Popular Crewe cafe and farm shop commits to town centre
A popular Crewe cafe and farm shop has committed to the town centre, confirming it won't be permanently closing down, despite rumours.
The Cobbles Cafe and Deli Farm Shop, Victoria Street, temporarily closed on Saturday 20 July, with plans to reopen "slightly differently."
Operated by Jonty Ellwood and Sarah Wickstead, The Cobbles has been trading at the former Yorkshire Bank since March 2022, relocating from the old Crewe Market sheds.
Serving full English breakfasts, sandwiches, pies, homemade cakes and hot and cold drinks, The Cobbles is a well-established Crewe business.
In its deli farm shop, The Cobbles sells the likes of fresh butcher's meat, eggs, local cheeses, pies, fruit and vegetables and jam, with phone collection orders accepted.
After closing on 20 July, local residents were concerned another trader had departed from Crewe town centre.
The Cobbles Cafe and Deli Farm Shop said: "We will be closed for a couple of weeks for changes then reopen slightly differently."
It is understood the Victoria Street business will be altering its overall set-up and will reopen again in August.
