Crewe man charged with drink driving after vehicle caught speeding

A man from Crewe has been charged with drink driving, after his vehicle was caught "driving at speed" in the town.

On Tuesday 20 August, Cheshire Police witnessed a vehicle speeding on Sheringham Drive, off Bradfield Road.

At 11.28pm, officers pulled the vehicle over on Padstow Close, located off Sheringham Drive.

Zsolt Pinter, 40, of Crewe North, has since been charged with drink driving and assaulting an emergency worker (Google).

The driver, who ordered to take a roadside breath test, became aggressive with officers.

He has since been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 11 September.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 11.28pm on Tuesday 20 August, police observed a vehicle driving at speed on Sheringham Drive in Crewe.

"Police stopped the car on Padstow Close and the driver was arrested after failing a roadside breath test.

Zsolt Pinter has been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 11 September (Cheshire Police).

"Zsolt Pinter, 40, of Crewe North, has since been charged with drink driving and assaulting an emergency worker.

"He has been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 11 September."
