Crewe man charged with drink driving following report of 'impaired' motorist

A Crewe man has been charged with drink driving, after Cheshire Police received a report of an "impaired" motorist in the town.

At 11:45pm on Thursday 29 August, officers were informed of an individual drink driving on South Street.

Police soon located the car, pulling the vehicle over on School Crescent, off Hungerford Road.

The driver failed a roadside breath test and was arrested at the scene.

Jonathan Mark Bilton, 42, from Crewe, has since been charged with drink driving.

He has since been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Thursday 19 September.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 11.45pm on Thursday 29 August, police received a report of an impaired driver on South Street.

"Police stopped the car on School Crescent and the driver was arrested after failing a roadside breath test.

Jonathan Mark Bilton, 42, from Crewe, has been charged with drink driving (Cheshire Police).

"Jonathan Mark Bilton, 42, of Crewe East, has since been charged with drink driving.

"He has been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Thursday 19 September."
