A Crewe man has been handed an 18-month community order with rehabilitation activities, after sexually assaulting an A&E nurse at Leighton Hospital last year.

Ian Crawley, 66 of Rose Terrace, was sentenced at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Monday 24 February.

At his trial on 24 January, Crawley pleaded guilty to one count of sexual assault of a female (intentional touching).

Ian Crawley sexually assaulted the NHS nurse while she was on shift in Leighton Hospital's A&E department on 25 May, 2024 (Nub News).

The court heard how the Crewe man sexually assaulted the NHS nurse while she was on shift in Leighton Hospital's A&E department on 25 May, 2024.

Crawley has been ordered to sign the sex offenders register for five years, as well complete six months of alcohol rehabilitation with up to 20 days of treatment.
