Crewe hotel chain set to reopen with major refurbishment underway
A Crewe economy hotel chain is set reopen later this year following a major refurbishment, with workers currently on site.
Ibis Styles, Emperor Way, Crewe Business Park, is targeting to reopen at the beginning of May.
The French hotel brand has been closed to the general public for around 18 months, with it being used as temporary housing for asylum seekers.
As part of The Home Office's Asylum Seekers Programme, The Crewe Arms Hotel and The Royal Hotel, Nantwich Road also closed to the public.
Crewe's Ibis Styles is set to have a full repaint throughout, along with a refurbished restaurant and lounge.
All rooms are set to have new mattresses, sheets and furniture, with repairs given where needed.
Notices have been placed around the windows of the Crewe hotel, saying: "We are currently closed for refurbishment.
"But, we are bringing style back to Crewe very soon. Book rooms and meetings now on: 01270 506620."
Owned by Accor, Ibis Styles has around 640 locations in 51 countries.
The hotel is part of the Ibis family, which also includes Ibis and Ibis Budget hotel.
Ibis Styles is a step up from the main branded hotels, with breakfasts included in its room rates.
The Crewe Arms Hotel is also set to reopen soon, with a premises licence submitted this March.
