Crewe man arrested following assault on edge of town centre

A man from Crewe has been arrested and released on bail following an assault on another male, on the edge of the town centre.

On Saturday 16 March, Cheshire Police received reports of an incident on Oak Street.

Around 6pm, officers arrived at the scene, discovering a 27-year-old man had been assaulted.

A 27-year-old man was assaulted on Oak Street (Nub News).

Police arrested a 44-year-old man from Crewe on suspicion of assault.

The man has since been released on bail, with enquiries into the attack currently ongoing.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At around 6pm on Saturday 16 March, police were called to reports of a disturbance on Oak Street.

"Officers attended and found that a 27-year-old man had been assaulted.

A 44-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and has since been released on bail (Cheshire Police).

"A 44-year-old man from the Crewe area was arrested and has since been released on bail.

"Enquiries in relation to the incident are underway, and anyone with any information, CCTV, or dash cam footage is asked to contact Cheshire Police via the website, or call 101 quoting IML 1779360."
