Crewe Central by-election 2024: A guide for voters
Voters in the Crewe Central ward go to the polls this Thursday, choosing who they want to represent them on Cheshire East Council.
Five candidates are battling it out for the seat which was left vacant following the resignation of Labour's Anthony Critchley before Christmas.
Who are the Crewe Central candidates?
Te Ata Browne is standing for the Green party while Kim Jamson will be hoping she can hold on to the seat for Labour.
Roger Morris is the candidate for the Local Conservatives and Vicky Pulman is standing for the Women's Equality Party.
Brian Silvester is the candidate for Putting Crewe First, People Before Politics.
The election will take place on Thursday 8 February, with polling stations open between 7am and 10pm.
What are the polling stations for Crewe Central?
- Wilson House Scout HQ, Ford Lane
- Beechwood Primary School, Meredith Street
- Goddard Court, Goddard Street
You can only vote at the polling station location on your polling card or online checker.
You do not need to take your polling card with you to vote, but you do need to take photo ID.
If you have a postal vote, you can hand it in at your polling station on election day up to 10pm.
