Cheshire man arrested on suspicion of 'sex offences' released on conditional bail

A Cheshire man arrested on suspicion of "sex offences," who has been reported on social media to be a former Crewe primary school teacher, has been released on conditional bail.

On Thursday 3 August, Cheshire Police were called to address in Betchton, Sandbach.

At 4:45pm, officers arrived at the scene, arresting a 45-year-old man on suspicion of attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity.

The 45-year-old man was caught by a Child Online Safety Team decoy who told him they were underage (Cheshire Police).

The 45-year-old has since been released on conditional bail while police continue with enquiries.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson updated Nub News: "He is currently in police custody assisting police with their enquiries."
