The nominations for the Everybody Awards 2023 have been revealed, with 10 individuals/organisations from Crewe in the running to win (Nub News).

Everybody Health & Leisure, which provides Crewe town centre with its Lifestyle Centre, has announced nominees for an upcoming award ceremony.

The nominations for the Everybody Awards 2023 have been revealed, with 10 individuals/organisations from Crewe in the running to win.

The Everybody's Awards evening will recognise a range of inspirational stories from individuals who have demonstrated amazing achievements in health, sport and physical activity.

The Awards will take place at Crewe Hall, Weston Road, on Friday 13 October, hosted by baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson (Alissa Cook-Gray).

Who from Crewe has been nominated for an award?

Olympics rhythmic gymnast, Poppy Wood-Wright and athlete, Dominic Bradley, have both been nominated for the Sports Personality of the Year category.

In the Community Initiative of the Year category, Crewe care community, The Crewe Leg Club, have received a nomination.

Active Travel volunteer, Ben Wye, and Wendy Howard, of Crewe Vagrants Hockey Club are both in the running for Community Champion of the Year.

Mollie Latham, of Crewe and Nantwich women's rugby team has a one in four chance of picking up the Unsung Hero Award.

Then, in the Customer Hero Award, Crewe dominates with nominations, with Nathan Leese, David Wood and Elliot and Colin Ainley all in the running.

Chairman at Everybody Health and Leisure, Andrew Kolker, said: "The nominations we have received this year have showed excellent dedication, innovation and true community spirit.

"All the Cheshire East nominees have achieved great success and inspired others.

"We couldn't be more delighted to invite our shortlist to the awards evening this October and we can't wait to announce the winners on the night."
