Man rushed to hospital following serious assault outside Crewe pub
Cheshire Police officers are investigating a serious assault which took place outside a Crewe pub, with a 44-year-old man suffering "serious injuries."
At around 6.40pm on Sunday 13 August, police received numerous reports of a fight outside The Raven public house, near to Brookhouse Drive and Davenport Avenue.
During the incident, a 44-year-old man suffered serious injuries to his head and arm and was rushed to hospital, with an air ambulance arriving at the scene.
He remains in hospital at this time.
Superintendent, Claire Jesson, told Nub News: "We understand the concern this incident is likely to have caused, but we would like to reassure the public we are doing all we can to establish what took place.
"There will be an increased police presence in the area and we would urge anyone with any concerns to speak to an officer.
"As part of our enquiries, we would like to appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch with us.
"We're also asking anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident to contact us if they saw anything suspicious which could aid our investigation.
"The same goes for those with any CCTV, dashcam, or Ring doorbell footage.

A 45-year-old man from Crewe was arrested on suspicion of affray in relation to the incident.
On Monday 14 August, Cheshire Police confirmed a second individual, a 44-year-old man from Crewe, had also been arrested.
