Staff from Swansway Motor Group have completed the Manchester 10k - in aid of Pancreatic Cancer.

George Smyth was accompanied by Swansway Motor Group Director, David Smyth to take part in the gruelling run.

They did this alongside web developer for the company, Helio Pinto and were joined from the sidelines by digital lead Holly Harris.

Completing the Manchester 10k was a complete team effort.

Deciding to take part in the event from early April, the team were only left with a few weeks to make sure they were prepared for the challenge.

Helio Pinto set out a training schedule to help encourage his fellow team members offering advice and motivation over the course of the training period.

When Swansway Motor Group heard of the challenge, they were delighted to be able to donate £100 to the worthy cause, taking the current total to £3,000.

George had originally set a target of £750. When the donation started to roll in, he upped the target to £3,000.

Swansway Motor Group saw many of the Swansway Family make personal donations, helping George to reach his target.

The company say it is a fantastic achievement to raise so much money for pancreatic cancer.

Swansway Motor Group would like to wish George, David and Helio a big well done for completing the Manchester 10k.

The company say it has been fantastic to see everyone come together to support George in his fundraising efforts.
