We are excited to be working in partnership with a highly prestigious and recognised retail brand, which has over 200 stores in the UK, as well as online shops and business accounts, that has been trading for more than a century. As part of their continued success, they are seeking a Local Marketing Manager to join their marketing team to help drive brand communications externally to their customers and manage end-to-end production of marketing campaigns.

In this unique and varied role, the Local Marketing Manager will hold ownership of the Customer Missions and Trade Marketing Calendar to support brand proposition and promotional strategy, ultimately complimenting business objectives. You will work to create and implement strategies to communicate relevant messages to attract new and returning customers. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Developing a local marketing strategy which is grounded in Customer data and identifies the highest sales growth opportunities.
  • Leading on new and relocation stores from a marketing perspective to ensure effective communication with customers.
  • Working with retail teams, local shopping centres and BiDs to identify opportunities to increase brand awareness at a local level and drive footfall to stores.
  • Leading and implementing brand partnerships with key suppliers, working with trading to identify strategic partners to help drive paid communication opportunities which support both brand objectives including Supplier Terms and Rate Card.
  • Leading external advertising for all key local campaigns. Ensure all communications are on brand and delivering the right message to the right customer.
  • Working with the campaign team to ensure all campaigns are optimised through all appropriate local channels using customer data to identify opportunities.
  • Managing and developing the services marketing and promotions plan.
  • Reporting and analysis of local campaigns to drive continuous improvement.
  • Leading, supporting and developing a Marketing Administrator including KPI setting and Personal Development Plans.

The Marketing Manager will hold demonstrable experience of marketing communications and activation campaigns within a retail environment, as well as a comprehensive background in advertising at local, regional, and national level. They will be fully conversant in the production process for print, radio and video and hold a thorough understanding of how offline and digital channels create integrated campaigns. You will be a skilled negotiator who is able confidently negotiate with key stakeholders and partners. In addition, you will be a creative thinker who is able to balance this with commerciality and excellent organisational skills.

Please note that the role will be hybrid with 4 days per week in the office.
