What youll be doing
- Set up and operate3 AxisCNC milling machines to produce components according to specifications
- Load raw materials into the machine and remove finished parts
- Interpret engineering drawings
- Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and attachments for each job
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary to ensure quality and accuracy
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers etc
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team membersto coordinate production schedules and ensure smooth workflow
Hours
MondayThursday 8am-4:45pm & Friday 8am-1pm
OR
Week 1: MondayThursday 6am-2pm & Friday 6am-12pm
Week 2: MondayThursday 2pm-10pm & Friday 12pm-6pm
Pay
£25,000 - £30,000 per annum
Skills/Experience Required
- Proficiency in operating CNC Milling machines
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Knowledge of cutting tools, materials, and machining processes
- Experience with precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality of machined parts
- Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and optimise machining processes
- Teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and follow instructions
