The property is grade II listed building and was originally built in 1652 as a farmhouse. It still retains its original charm and distinctive appearance, full of character adorned with part wooden panelled walls and bay windows. Here you can experience great food & drink and we pride ourselves on exemplary service and outstanding events.

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Chef de partie to Join the team, the recently revamped menu offers classic British favourites cooked to a standard the lion is accustomed to, featuring some classic grills and fresh seafood, as well as small plates, all in all, a classic British countryside menu.

The role of the CDP is some that is passionate about food, maybe you are someone that is looking to further your career and become a sous chef? Maybe you are someone that has been in a kitchen for a long time and you are now looking to work with a team and have fun, whilst delivering excellent standards of food? The White Lion has it all, we are a team delivering excellent British food, looking for that next award.

Duties include but will not be limited to:

· Following instructions and preparation for recipes in accordance with the Head/Sous Chef's instructions.

· Upholding the highest standards of cleanliness & hygiene in the kitchen and associated areas.

· A good communicator who understands of how vital the relationship is between kitchen and front of house teams.

· Hands-on prep and a willingness to jump in and help with other areas when needed.

· Working across a 11-hour shift, usually starting between 10am and 12pm, till close.

Pay: £12.00-£16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
