Total People are looking to recruit a Learning Support Lead who will join Total People's SEND team. We are looking for someone who has experience of working with young people and / or adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the caseload of learners at Total People who have an EHCP, and will provide support and guidance to colleagues across Total People to ensure the best possible SEND support is provided to learners across provisions.
You will need to be driven, organised, and dedicated to managing a busy and demanding workload.

This post is offered on a permanent basis, working 37 hours per week. Due to the nature of this post, you must be willing to travel to various locations nationally.
You will be required to work across delivery sites / locations and remotely. At Total People we have a team of dedicated colleagues on hand to support you and you will be provided with all the equipment to enable you to work remotely.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Complete specialist training as required.
- Oversee the EHCP provision at Total People, ensuring all learners with EHCP's receive the support they need to progress and achieve.
- Support the development and implementation of Total People's SEND strategy.
- To develop and maintain current, up to date knowledge of legislation, research, and developments within the field of SEND and LDD including but not exclusive to

- To maintain up to date, effective and transparent records for EHCP learners
- To provide support, guidance, coaching and training to staff across Total People which supports learners with SEND to achieve.
- Lead on all transition points for learners with an Education and Health Care Plan, working collaboratively with Delivery Managers, Learning Coaches, parents / carers (under 18 or under 25 with an EHCP), and relevant Local Authorities (nationally). Ensuring timescales are met in line with statutory obligations.
- Work collaboratively with Delivery Managers and Learning Coaches to ensure appropriate support and intervention is provided, to raise aspirations and outcomes for learners with EHCP's.
- Work with other Total People specialists as the role requires.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Essential
- Experience of working with and supporting learners with EHCP.
- Hold a SEND qualification at Level 5 or above (or willing to work towards).
- Experience of working with internal & external agencies to identify, plan, deliver and evaluate EHCP provision.
- Sound knowledge of GDPR and information sharing.
- Understanding of the legislation, local and national guidance in relation to SEND and LDD.
- Level 2 in maths and English or equivalent or willing work towards.
- Relevant experience of carrying out administrative duties.
Desirable
- Teaching qualification.
