Simpson Judge Finance are pleased to help an existing client in mid Cheshire with their search. This full time permanent role requires a focussed and experienced expert in the Credit Control.To work at the heart of the firm providing support to the Finance Manager with regards to credit control and to ensure accurate administration and consistent implementation of the same.This role reports to Finance headSkills & Qualifications At least 3 years of dedicated credit control experience. Proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheets, and databases. Excellent numerical and analytical skills. Strong and confident communication and negotiation skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Knowledge of credit laws and regulations. Customer service and problem-solving skills.Key Accountabilities Proactively managing the credit control across the business and ensuring maximum cash collection on a daily basis. Issuing statements to clients and following up with reminders and phone calls in line with firms credit control policy. Taking card payments from clients and dealing with postings appropriately no case management system. Resolving queries and disputes related to invoices, payments, and credit terms. Negotiating payment plans and payment methods with clients as necessary. Initiating legal actions and referring to internal debt collection department if necessary. Reporting on the status and performance of the accounts receivable ledger to the Finance Partner. Reviewing and updating the credit policies and procedures of the company. Maintaining good relationships and communication with clients and internal stakeholders. Preparing and distributing Work-In-Progress reports by fee earner to assist management of WIP lockup and actioning of WIP write offs. Collaborating with the firms Billing Team and Accounts DepartmentPackage 20 days per annum annual leave plus statutory bank holidays. Additionally, the firm ordinarily closes between Christmas and New Year albeit the firm reserves the unfettered right to withdraw this additional leave as required by business needs.
