Summer-Browning Associates is currently supporting our automotive industry client, who is seeking a Cost Engineer for an initial twelve-month assignment.
Location: Hybrid working - CreweAbout the role: You will be responsible for evaluating product, development and investment costs for current and future product development plans at a system/part level. Additionally, to work proactively towards achievement of cost target objectives with project teams, across product platforms in conjunction with the Purchasing and Engineering functions.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in delivery Cost Engineering support, with the following skills and experience:
- Experience of product cost management.
- Knowledge of automotive cost estimating and engineering practices.
- Experience in technical negotiations.
- Experience in developing suppliers to determine good value for money products.
- Experience with Siemens TcPCM Product Costing or similar software solutions (Desirable)
