Crewe Nub News has announced its winner of the 2022 Halloween pumpkin carving competition - with runners-up coming from Crewe and Sandbach.

Crewe Nub News has announced its winner of the 2022 Halloween pumpkin carving competition - with runners-up coming from Crewe and Sandbach. 

Eleanor and Olivia, ages 10 and five, from Macclesfield have won a hamper full of Co-op goodies.

The pair designed three pumpkins - a cat, mouse and ghost (pictured above).

Alissa from Crewe, created 18 pumpkins - including an I.T clown, Scream mask, spooky hand and a Pac-Man level (Crewe Nub News).

To enter the Halloween competition, all you needed to do was carve a pumpkin, take a photo and send it in to [email protected] by the end of Monday 31 October.

Alternatively, you could have posted it on Crewe Nub News Facebook page by 31 October.

Runners-up from the competition have also been announced - with entries from Crewe and Sandbach.

The Co-op thought Alissa Georgia from Crewe and brother and sister, Lincoln and Verity, from Sandbach deserved a prize for their spectacular efforts.

Alissa created 18 pumpkins - including an I.T clown, Scream mask, spooky hand and a Pac-Man level.

Lincoln from Sandbach, suffers from Muscular Dystrophy so he painted his pumpkin as he can't carve.

The Co-op and Nub News would like to thank everyone who entered the competition for their efforts.

Alissa, Lincoln and Verity will also receive a runners-up prize.
