Local residents are being encouraged to pick up a pebble from a local Co-op store or Funeralcare home,* and paint and decorate it in time for 'Our Crewe; Let's Celebrate,' this August bank holiday.

'Our Crewe; Let's Celebrate is an event taking place at Lyceum Square on the bank holiday afternoon of Monday 28 August.

The event, supported by the Co-op, will showcase all aspects of Crewe life, including: its heritage, the present and the bright future of years to come.

Put your painted and decorated pebble on a pebble train in Memorial Square between 12pm and 6pm on Monday 28 August (Nub News).

It aims to be a prelude to a full street carnival in Crewe again, targeted to recommence in 2024.

Before this event, you can pick up a pebble from a Co-op store* or Funeralcare Home* and paint and decorate it at home with your meaning of the town.

You can then add it to a pebble train in Memorial Square on August 28, from 12pm until 6pm.
