Nantwich Food Festival

Where

Nantwich

When

2 Sep 2022 - 4 Sep 2022

UNTIL Sunday 4 September

Local foodies will be delighted to hear that Nantwich Food Festival will definitely go ahead this year after a two year gap. Festival dates are Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th September inclusive, so plans are full steam ahead for the Festival committee.

Festival chef organiser Linda Martin said: "The Civic Hall will be buzzing this year with all the great Chef demonstrations.

"Nantwich Food Festival is unique in providing such high quality entertainment free to visitors, so I am thrilled to confirm a start to the wonderful line-up of Celebrity Chefs who will be demonstrating this year".

Returning for 2022 is the talented Rosemary Shrager, renowned for her many TV appearances, including Cooking with the Stars and the Big Family Cooking Showdown.

Rosemary endeared herself to the nation when she took part in I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here, where she proved she could cook just about anything, anywhere.

Rosemary will be demonstrating on Festival Saturday.

Sean Wilson (pictured above) was so popular in 2018 and again 2019 that he is booked in again this year for Festival Sunday.

Sean, familiar to all Coronation Street watchers, has also been a serious cook for over 30 years and is completely self-taught. His followers will know of his entertaining style whilst creating innovative recipes; he is equally happy creating everything from fine dining through to more rustic, heritage and provincial style dishes.

His many TV appearances, to mention just a few, include: ITV's This Morning, Who's Doing the Dishes?, The Wright Stuff, James Martin's Saturday Morning, Celebrity Masterchef, Farmer's Country Showdown, and Channel 4's What's Cooking?

Sean's Saddleworth Cheese Company creates six artisanal cheeses, with provenance as their byword.

The Festival team plans to showcase more celebrity and local chefs in the coming weeks.

Most locals know that the Festival is organised and run entirely by volunteers, and it is unsurprising to hear that the team is now in need of additional help.

If you are interested in hearing more about how you could volunteer please get in touch with Ana Martins, the Festival Volunteer Co-ordinator on [email protected]

Volunteers can contribute just two hours to the full weekend; Ana is also looking for someone to champion recycling.

Training and support will be provided for all roles.
