Readers' letters: 'we don't need a grand bus station' says Independent by-election candidate

LET's have a better public realm, clean and tidy, less litter in our streets and a place to stop fly-tipping!

I suggest a better accessible public tip, free from fees and charges, so it's a easier way to dump your bulky rubbish.

Lets also have a bus station at the railway station to improve the connectivity between the station and the town.

Let's have a larger multi-storey car park, then all car parks at present which are under ownership of Cheshire East Council can be disposed of for sale for housing development.

We will have more footfall within the centre of our town seeing as the Phoenix Leisure Park off Dunwoody Way, bowling alley and cinema, will become obsolete because of the new provision (Royal Arcade).

Have a bus pull-in at that location (the leisure park) then passengers can access the town centre via a provision of a walkway and escalator at the back of Tollitt Street/Chester Street and Delamere House thus freeing up the need for a grand bus station that in my opinion is not needed. Full connectivity for our public transport in Crewe will then be achieved.

Is town planning really that hard to do? It's not rocket science, so come on Cheshire East shape up or ship out. Here ends the lesson.
