Crewe Alex supporter, Caira Tunnicliffe, is the fifth winner of the £1,500 Crewe Prize Draw, who found out she'd won while watching Luther on TV with her partner.

This draw, supported by Swansway Motor Group, not only saw one lucky local resident take home an incredible £1,500 cash prize, but also raised money for good causes across the town, proving everyone can be a winner.

Congratulations Caira. There were also four lucky winners of £20 each and those tickets were 7797 Green, 7053 Green, 7770 White and 7925 White.

Caira, who lives on Lunt Avenue, told Nub News: "I moved to Crewe about three years ago when I bought my first house to get on the property ladder.

​"I first heard about the Crewe Prize Draw on Crewe Nub News Facebook and through Crewe Alexandra FC after they sent out an email.

"I go to watch The Alex, so supporting a good cause and helping local charity was what really made me decide to buy a ticket.

​"I was at home watching Luther on TV when I received the email. My immediate reaction when I saw I'd won £1,500 was to think, 'This is a scam.'

"I asked my partner if he had entered the draw because we had only bought the tickets on Wednesday.

"He said he hadn't believed it, so I showed him the email and said, 'Well, look at this—we've won!' He was the first person I told.

​"I haven't decided how I am going to spend the £1,500 yet. To anybody in Crewe who has seen the Crewe Prize Draw but hasn't entered yet, I would just say: do it. It is as simple as that, just do it."
