THE CREWE Regional Sunday League has scrapped its revised format for Premier Division sides following a withdrawal.

Winsford-based George & Dragon indicated that they do not wish to continue with the end-of-season competition, which was arranged as an alternative to the season proper after it was null and voided.

That left the Premier Division with just three teams and league officials have made the decision to call off the remaining fixtures after talks with the other clubs.

But Division One's two group competitions are continuing, with Winnington leading the pack in group A after a 3-2 win at Sydney Arms.

Ben Reddock netted both goals for Sydney Arms, who were twice ahead, but the Northwich side fought back to claim maximum points.

Nantwich Pirates and C & N Utd played out an entertaining game on The Barony, with The Pirates clinching a 3-2 win. Sam Cadwallader, Mike Truan and Keiron Jones netted for The Pirates, with Jordan Prince and Mark Green on target for the visitors.

In group B, Broadhurst beat Audlem 4-1 thanks to goals from Dom Johnson (2), Dean Jones and Taylor Kennerley. Callum Mese netted for the visitors.

White Horse and AFC Talbot shared eight goals (4-4) in an entertaining clash. White Horse opened the scoring through Ben Gilbert, but slack defending allowed AFC Talbot to quickly equalise.

The second half produced six goals; Rhys Spence, Ash Dutton and Dan Wade netted for White Horse, with the AFC Talbot goals being shared between Tim Gallagher, Ryan Broadhurst, Jamie Collina and Mike Blundell.
