The new Crewe bowling centre development is starting to take shape - more than three months after it was granted a premises license.

Tenpin Ltd is opening inside the former MFA Bowl, Phoenix Leisure Park, Dunwoody Way - with work starting back in mid-September.

The premises license for this development was granted by Cheshire East Council in July.

So far, new exterior glass has been installed - with an automatic disabled entry.

What is the latest with the Crewe Tenpin development?

On October 3, Tenpin submitted a planning application outlining a door replacement and new digital screens at the main entrance.

The bowling centre also proposed two new illuminated signs in the front facade and two new signs in existing street totems - requesting advertisement consent for both.

Tenpin proposed two new illuminated signs in the front facade and two new signs in existing street totems (Cheshire East Planning).

Cheshire East Council's head of strategic transport raised no objections to the proposals.

A statement on Thursday (October 27), read: "The proposal includes amended signage within the totem which does not raise a highways concern.

"In addition, there is to be illuminated signage on the front facade which are to be internally illuminated and a distance from the public highway, and also do not raise a concern.

"The proposal is acceptable and no objection is raised."

The target decision date for the proposals is December 2.
