Thousands flock to huge family-friendly Halloween fireworks event near Crewe

The 14th annual 'Alpha Omega Halloween Spooktacular' took place on Saturday (October 29) at Dorfold Show Ground, Nantwich (Jonathan White).

A crowd of more than five thousand flocked to a huge family-friendly Halloween fireworks event near Crewe - featuring three brand new acts.

The 14th annual 'Alpha Omega Halloween Spooktacular' took place on Saturday (October 29) at Dorfold Show Ground, Nantwich.

Shuttle buses carried passengers from the designated Nantwich park and ride car parks to and from the venue.

Fireworks were supplied and choreographed by the multi award-winning Crewe-based quality firework retailer Blitz Fireworks (Jonathan White).

Gates opened from 5pm with broad new acts Jay the Juggler and The Big Headed Witch greeting people as they arrived.

The Cheshire Lamont main stage hosted Wanda Witchway's Halloween Party Time and her Magic Stage Show.

There was also a Punch & Judy show, and Children's Fancy Dress Competition, sponsored by Snugburys ice cream - along with dinosaur appearances from The Dino Experience.

A wide variety of fancy dress costumes were on display throughout the evening, including ghost girls, creepy clowns, pirates, pumpkin girls, witches, a Teen Wolf and Dracula.

There was a giant funfair, refreshment trucks and the scarily immersive Melody Corporation 'Scaremaze' with live actors - including a zombie doctor, mad butcher and a chainsaw murderer.

A crowd of over five thousand people were treated to a spectacular fourteen-minute firework pyro-musical display involving thousands of fireworks.

The fireworks were supplied and choreographed by the multi-award winning Crewe-based quality firework retailer 'Blitz Fireworks.'

The headline sponsor of the event was Alpha Omega Securities Ltd.

There was a giant funfair, refreshment trucks and the scarily immersive Melody Corporation 'Scaremaze' with live actors (Jonathan White).

The company provides a wide range of professional services for the protection of clients, their property and their premises throughout the United Kingdom.

John Malam, Owner of Blitz Fireworks, said: "Thank you to everyone for attending and supporting the event, as well as the volunteers and sponsors.

"Without whom the Alpha Omega Halloween Spooktacular could not take place."

Sponsors of the event included DJH Mitten Clarke - chartered accountants, Snugburys - ice cream shop, Melody Corporation - suppliers of quality marquees and Enviro Skip Hire – operating throughout Cheshire & Staffordshire.

Other sponsors were Cheshire Lamont - estate agents, James Du Pavey – independent estate agents, Acer Plant & Grab Hire - local plant, grab and tipped hire company based in Shavington and Willow Productions - providing live event broadcast, aerial and manned wireless cameras to record any event.

Next year's Spooktacular event at Dorfold Show Ground will take place on Saturday 28 October.
