A section of Walthall Street is currently closed for essential waterworks. It is expected to reopen on Saturday 16 March (Ryan Parker).

A well used road in Crewe is closed for the next week, allowing major waterworks to take place.

Walthall Street, between its junction with Furnival Street and Owen Street, closed on Monday 4 March.

This section of the terraced street is expected to remain closed until midnight on Saturday 16 March.

United Utilities are carrying out essential water pipe maintenance under the road.

Motorists are being told to divert via Furnival Street, Westminster Street and Nile Street.
