Want to win £500? Crewe residents urged to nominate those in need of help

Crewe: Nominations for Taylor Wimpey North West's £500 Community Chest is now open - running until the end of October (AP).

A housing developer is offering Crewe residents the chance to nominate local groups, organisations or individuals they think need support - to win a £500 grand prize.

Nominations for Taylor Wimpey North West's £500 Community Chest is now open (September 26).

The house-builder is offering the chance for local good causes to win a £500 grand prize.

All nominations need to be received by the end of October - only one email per person will be counted (Taylor Wimpey).

Currently, there are two Taylor Wimpey housing developments being constructed in Crewe.

One is Willowbrook Grange, taking place off Jack Mills Way, Shavington, with the second being Stoneley Park - off Broad Street, Coppenhall.

The developer is now inviting those living in Crewe to nominate local groups, organisations or individuals they think are in need of a helping hand.

Taylor Wimpey says this could be a contribution towards some much needed new equipment, a personal fundraising challenge, or anything in between.

Local residents can submit their suggestions by emailing the name of the nominee, along with a brief description of why they have been nominated, to: [email protected].

Sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey North West, Jennifer Burns, said: "Community groups and local charities rely heavily on the support they receive.

"We are delighted to do our bit for the residents from around Crewe through the Community Chest campaign.

"If you know of a worthy cause in your area, we would love to hear about them.

"We look forward to receiving this year's nominations and announcing the winner – best of luck to all the nominees."

All nominations need to be received by the end of October - only one email per person will be counted.

Taylor Wimpey North West will then select the group, organisation or individual who is their winner for Crewe and they will be awarded the £500 donation.
