Two women have been arrested after forcing entry into a Crewe house twice, assaulting a resident and stealing documentation, clothing and jewellery.

On Friday 26 January, Cheshire Police officers detained two females in Crewe.

The pair, both 37, from the town, were arrested by patrol officers on suspicion of burglary of a dwelling in the West End.

Both women, reportedly assaulted the resident at the address, forcing their way in on two occasions.

On one occasion they stole documentation. They then came back to steal clothing and jewellery.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "Two females have been arrested after a report of burglaries in the Crewe area.

"We received reports that on two occasions both females have attended an address in the West End of Crewe.

"They have assaulted the resident and forced their way in, on one occasion stealing documentation, and the other occasion stealing clothing and jewellery.

Both women, reportedly assaulted the resident at the West End address and forced their way in on two occasions (Cheshire Police).

"On Friday 26 January, both females, aged 37 from Crewe, were arrested by patrol officers on suspicion of burglary of a dwelling.

"They have since been bailed pending further enquiries."
